you must learn to walk before you can run.
on Friday i walked 3km and ran 2km for a 5km barefoot run. i did go out later for another shod 8km run. my feet felt a bit tender in a few spots but generally i felt good and my achilles felt better then its has been for a while.
Saturday i was at a party and spent the day barefoot, playing heaps of soccer and walking on grass. I would say i covered over 5km during the day. My feet felt good but the next morning getting out of bed I could not walk. As I warmed up it felt good though.
Today i went out for another 5km. my feet felt tender early on but I stubbornly continued with the planned distance. At the end my soles were unhappy. I think I will carry my vibram five finger sprints with me so i can pop them on as soon as I feel tenderness.
I do love the feel of the ground but I am still a bit scared of rocks etc.
