strong 7km

my feet are starting to feel much stronger. yesterday i went out for my 5km walk my fivefingers in hand. i felt too good to walk and ran probably about 4km of the 5. Then running shod I took my shoes off and did some barefoot laps of the headland probably another 2km. So a happy 7km of barefoot running. This morning I felt slight stiffness (not the good kind) but generally good. i am starting to feel positive about the whole experience. Now I wonder what shoes I will wear for the 6 foot and when will my nike frees 3.0 arrive!!

baby steps

you must learn to walk before you can run.

on Friday i walked 3km and ran 2km for a 5km barefoot run. i did go out later for another shod 8km run. my feet felt a bit tender in a few spots but generally i felt good and my achilles felt better then its has been for a while.

Saturday i was at a party and spent the day barefoot, playing heaps of soccer and walking on grass. I would say i covered over 5km during the day. My feet felt good but the next morning getting out of bed I could not walk. As I warmed up it felt good though.

Today i went out for another 5km. my feet felt tender early on but I stubbornly continued with the planned distance. At the end my soles were unhappy. I think I will carry my vibram five finger sprints with me so i can pop them on as soon as I feel tenderness.

I do love the feel of the ground but I am still a bit scared of rocks etc.
